Consciously Connecting to Love
Love is an elusive feeling for many and yet humanity’s salvation. Why is love so elusive to us? Ego and personality are connected to the “why” feeling and being Love is so challenging. But this too is in perfect and divine order because it is through the human experience, with an ego and personality, that we are learning how to be the loving presence we seek in others.
When you look into the mirror, what do you see? Do you see the reflection of another person or do you see yourself? How comfortable are you gazing into the eyes of this person standing in front of you and connecting deeply to them? Not so much, right?
The gift of being human is one of countless opportunities to learn this lesson: How to be a loving presence in our relationship with ourselves first, our Source as we believe it to be, in our relationship with others and our life experiences. This is not rhetoric but rather, it is at the heart of all human dynamics. When we are suffering, we are not consciously in our hearts with ourselves. And so, the only path to clear the pain of suffering is to come home to the heart, to the place where we are connected to Love.
So many of us feel that Love is elusive and fleeting. The truth is, we are never disconnected from Love, for it is who we are. Our core essence is the divine presence of Love. What does happen is that we lose our conscious connection to Love. And so the quickest remedy is to consciously connect with our Heart of Love and begin again. For when we are consciously connected to our Heart of Love everything that we experienced as suffering looks different. Our perspective changes similarly to the difference between looking at a football field from the 50 yard line versus from the top of the stadium. When we make our conscious choices from this place of connectedness, our actions that follow are very different than when we do so unconsciously.
In this moment, consider taking several breaths into and out of your Heart of Love in the center of your chest. Call in all of your Guides, Masters, Teachers, Angels and Animal friends and/or whatever divine presence is meaningful to you. As you breathe into and out of your Heart of Love, feel their presence surrounding you like a warm embrace of Love. Know that you are never alone and that Love is always with you for it is who you are.
With blessings of love and gratitude, from my Heart of Love to Yours.
